Self striping (Kama) comes in our signature put up, the must match set, meaning you will receive two perfectly matching half skeins twisted together under the label for easy sleeve matching.
Our tonal skeins (Charcoal) come in the usual continuous 100g skein of 460 yards.
From the designer:
There is practically nothing I love more than knitting in stockinette stitch. These days, when I am packing up my project bag for long car rides or the kids’ activities, I don’t reach for socks—I grab a sweater. Stockinette sweaters are knitting heaven, especially when there is a rainbow at the end of the stockinette tunnel. And by tunnel, I obviously mean the body of my sweater. This sweater plays with the traditional drop shoulder construction by turning the yoke on its axis. Flattering vertical stripes stretch from shoulder to shoulder in this casual summer tee. Even though this little sweater has huge impact, there isn’t a single complicated stitch in the entire pattern. Knitting bonus: This tee can be easily customized by using the “Getting the Right Fit” section. Perfect for long color sequences and dramatic color changes, this tee will be the project you want to grab every time you head out the door.
Construction:
The body of this sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up. After working the body, the back yoke is worked flat using the German Short Rows method. Next, the back border is worked vertically as an attached border. The front yoke and front border are worked identically to the back yoke and back border. The shoulders are joined using the Mattress Stitch seaming method to add structure to the tee. Finally the ribbed border is picked up and worked around the opening of the armholes.
