The locals call it Woolgatherer’s Walk — a lane that meanders past ivy-laced cottages, under rusted gates, and through fields still humming with summer’s memory.

The path begins at the edge of a cranberry bog, where the ground blushes red in the autumn light. It winds past teal-shuttered windows, the kind that creak softly when the wind brings a chill. Ferns bow low in the ditches, their edges kissed with mossy brown and rust, and here and there a splash of golden marigold catches the sun — a last spark before winter.
