What is the Great Reads? It is several sets of self striping colorways based on books that I love. Our first set is "Magical" books: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Harry Potter (the whole darn series-too hard to pick just one), The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mary Poppins and The Wizard of OZ. You may have seen the Simply Speckled yarns that were the front runners for this new series but as mentioned these new colorways will all be self striping (it's why you love me, right)! Around mid-May these 5 self striping colorways will be available as dye to order plus the original 5 Simply Speckled colorways as well.
This past week, we were busily working away at filling all of our Beauty & Her Beast sock skein orders and will start shipping those by the end of the week. We received so many orders (THANK YOU) that it will take some time to finish dyeing and shipping those so thank you in advance for your patience! Just so you know, I also dyed a batch of Kama Sutra today and it may make an appearance (quietly) in the shop some time next week.
Lastly, I want to let you know that our Star Wars inspired collection is going up for sale tomorrow on May the 4th (you see what we did there?!). There will be 40 very special mini skein kits available to mark the 40th anniversary plus a limited stock of each colorway in full Must Match skeins. These are all ready to ship and in limited supply so be nimble, be quick and May the 4th Be With You!
