It is almost time for our annual Camp KAL! We always have a lot of fun putting together these kits with Tuft Woolens and this year was no exception. In fact, this is probably my most favorite kit yet and I can hardly wait to share it with you. This year's camp theme is...National Parks! Something so grand just couldn't be contained by one singular kit and so we will have a series of three different kits, each inspired by a different park in a different part of the country. Each part of the series will drop on the first day of a new season and so the first is coming to the shop on Monday, September 23rd at 12pm noon central time and is inspired by the Great Smoky Mountains!
What is included with the kit you ask? Well, let me tell you!
First, of course, there is a perfect must match skein of Great Smoky Mountains. It is 12 stripes inspired by the photo above...autumnal sunrise sky, smoky blue mountain peaks, lush green forest, rich brown soil and speckled sandy hiking trail just for fun. I hope you will love it as much as I do! ($35 value)
Speaking of loving something, Tuft Woolens has outdone herself once again. The sock soap and hand balm both in an awesome smoky woodsy scent and a lip balm is my personal favorite ever, Toasted Marshmallow. ($21 set value)
This kit has not one but two project bags included!
First up, from one of the coolest Indie brands in the market, Ritual Dyes, a mini Knitter's Backpack in a brand new color, Pines. This sweet little backpack is constructed from 18 oz water repellent canvas, thick cotton webbing straps and a leather hang loop. This innovative and versatile bag can be set on the ground and knit from like a yarn bowl, carried on your forearm, pull the straps through and wear it like a sling bag or split the straps and carry it like a true backpack, knitting all the while.
