Camp KAL commemorative Earth Mug

$ 28.00

We are not the only fans of our 2017 Camp KAL mug! During this past year, we have received so many emails/messages asking about getting another one or having missed out that we had to ask Brian the Potter for another batch of "Earth" mugs. You may notice a few changes from the original...this batch is slightly larger and has a round bellied instead of a beehive shape but still has the same beautiful "Earth" color with cedar ash glaze and Camp KAL 2017 logo minus the "2017".

Camp mugs are approximately 4" tall and hold 16 ozs of your favorite beverage.

Gallery and Studio

Our Gallery features the Pottery of Brian Burckhardt, as well as other local artisans, such as painters and metal artists. Our gallery and studio is made from an old barn from West Texas that was disassembled, moved to the Hill Country, and re-built. Brian has been creating pottery since 1996: "The connection with the outdoors, and finding inspiration in landscapes, nature and the human form, is the ultimate guide for the path that my work follows."

Our studio was designed to utilize as many local materials as possible, including:

  • Rain water collection system to furnish all the water we use for glaze formulation, clay mixing and manipulation on the potters wheel, and clean-up.
  • Locally mixed clay
  • Local Cedar ash is used to mix our glazes that provide the vibrant colors in each piece of Hill Country Pottery.

P.S.

Yes, Camp KAL with Tuft Woolens will be back for 2018 and will have a brand new mug included!! More info coming in November.
